Our Goal

The DVHS Counseling Program will empower every student to advocate for themselves through a comprehensive guidance program that will include an academic, personal, social, and career emphasis.  Our mission is to challenge and empower every student to graduate as self-directed, productive citizens who are effective communicators, critical thinkers, risk-takers, and life-long learners.

Calming

The Calming Center provides DVHS students with a supportive space to unwind, practice breathing techniques, and engage in calming activities such as playing with playdough. It serves as a valuable resource for managing stress and de-escalating situations like panic attacks. Students can access the Calming Center with their teachers permission.
