Attention Senior Students
Hello Seniors, Class of 2025, the following are scholarships that are available. Please make sure to look at posted deadlines and make sure to read on the application to see if you must mail out or deliver it directly to their organization or office address. The only scholarships that will be collected in the counseling center are the ones that specifically state that.

2024-2025
2025 Munguia Math Scholarship
Mr. & Mrs. Munguia have been giving a scholarship to high school Seniors since 2006 and have focused on students who have excelled in mathematics at BUHS and are enrolled in or have completed AP Calculus and/or AP Statistics. We encourage students who are planning on continuing their studies at a university or community college to apply. Below you will find the link to the application for the Munguia Math Scholarship. Andy & Natalie Erickson Scholarship Fund
Eligibility:
-Graduating seniors and graduates of Imperial Valley high schools with a minimum 3.0 GPA who are, or were formerly, in the Foster Care system for two or more years, and are attending a 4-year College or University

Ben and Loretta Abatti Scholarship Fund
Eligibility:
-Graduating seniors and graduates of Imperial Valley high schools who will be, or are, attending a 4-year College or University pursuing a degree/career in Agriculture and have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Cameron Family Scholarship Fund
Eligibility:
-Graduating seniors of Brawley Union High School & previous recipients of the Cameron Family Scholarship
-Pursuing a 4-year degree in Animal Science and/or Veterinary Science
-Attending a two or four-year College or University full-time (12+ units)
-With a minimum 2.5 GPA

Fareed-Tyson Medical Arts Scholarship Fund
Eligibility:
Students who are enrolled in a medical arts program at San Diego State University – Imperial Valley, Imperial Valley College, or a certified vocational/trade program located in Imperial County.
Applicants must also be a current resident of and have lived in Imperial County for at least five years.

John Elmore Family Scholarship Fund
Eligibility:
-Graduating seniors and graduates of Brawley Union High School (BUHS)
-Pursuing a 4-year degree
-Attending a 2 or 4-year College or University
-Students interested in pursuing a degree/career related to Agriculture (preferred but not required)
-Students who may plan on returning to the Imperial Valley after completing their 4-year degree

Margaret Lassey Nursing Scholarship Fund
Eligibility:
-To be eligible an applicant must be accepted in the nursing program at Imperial Valley College or other medical programs acceptable to the Scholarship Committee.
-Only GPA of 3.0 or better will be considered.

Mary Harmon Scholarship Fund
Eligibility:
Graduating high school seniors that live in and attend school in Imperial Valley and are active members of 4-H in good standing.
Applicants who will be attending an accredited institution of post-secondary education or vocational training in the United States in a program that has a duration of at least three quarter terms or two semester terms.
Note: Applicants will interview with the scholarship selection committee as part of the application process.

Mary Owen Memorial Scholarship Fund
Eligibility:
-Graduating seniors of Brawley Union High School, Central Union High School, and Southwest High School
-Attending a 4-year College or University full-time (12+ units)
-Who have demonstrated Academic Merit, Student Achievement, Community Service, and Leadership

Sherry Cowie Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: Graduating seniors of Brawley Union High School, Calipatria High School, and Desert Valley High School who have a GPA of 2.9 or above, and will be attending Imperial Valley College.

2025 Imperial County Farm Bureau Scholarships
Eligibility: Imperial County residents who have chosen a field of study that supports their goal of an agriculture-related career.

MANA de Imperial Valley College & University Scholarship
Eligibility:
• Be a student who is committed to supporting the mission of MANA de Imperial Valley
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent)
• Have plans to transfer to a four-year U.S. accredited institution or technical college for the 2024-2025 academic school year
• Community service/school activities involvement

Imperial County Teachers Uniserv (CTA)
Eligibility :
High School graduating seniors who are attending a public high school, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, permanent residence within Imperial County, and will pursue further education or vocational training after high school.

P.E.O. (Chapter BS) Scholarship 2025
For Brawley Senior Women who will be seeking a higher education. You may download a copy of the application here P.E.O. The Pastel Society of the West Coast Art Scholarship
Eligibility:
The successful candidate should be planning to pursue a career in art
• Must be a high school senior, or college freshman, sophomore, or junior
enrolled in a junior or four-year accredited college or university with
enrollment in an art class.
• Must submit digital photos of hand drawn or painted, original artwork created
by the student (no photography or digital work accepted)
• Must be recommended by an art teacher, counselor or PSWC member
• Must submit the online application, an artist statement and a portfolio

Foundation for Education Scholarship
Eligibility:
Must be a high school senior enrolled in:
• an alternative education/continuation school,
• OR Imperial Pathways Charter School,
• OR a regular High School - must have an Active 504 Plan or IEP (student with disabilities),
• OR a regular High School - must have been referred by WomanHaven or another agency supporting victims of domestic violence.
• Must be a resident of Imperial County.
• Must attend a community college, university or career technical institution as an entering freshman the Fall after high school graduation.
Number of Scholarships offered: Several at $500 each.

Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation 2025
The Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation is once again offering scholarships for
graduating senior women from the Brawley Union High School District. Wildcat Women
is an organization consisting of Brawley Union High School graduates and friends who
are committed to promoting equity in education by annually offering scholarship support
to senior women from the Brawley Union High School District.
This year, the Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation will award at least four (4)
scholarships of $1,000 each to BUHS or Desert Valley High School senior women with
a GPA of 2.2 or better. Senior women meeting this requirement are encouraged to
apply.
Eligible senior women interested in applying for the scholarship must complete the
Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation Application. The application is available
through Google Forms which can be accessed on the Wildcat Women Scholarship

Anderson Family Foundation 2025 Community Service Scholarship

Republic Services Scholarship 2025
Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded this year to Brawley Union High School students as part of the 2025 Republic Services of Imperial Valley Scholarship. The 2025 Republic Services of Imperial Valley Scholarship is designed to promote student achievement by providing scholarships to students who show interest in attending a two-year community college, technical education school or university. Claddagh Club -The Imperial Valley Irish American Club Educational Scholarship 2025
Eligibility:
-U.S. Citizen
-Be a graduating High School Senior from an Imperial Valley High School
-Minimum 3.5 GPA
-Planning to attend college in Fall 2025
Number of Scholarships offered:
Up to Six (6) $1,000 Scholarships

California Retired Teachers Association of Imperial Valley Scholarship
Eligibility :
- The applicant must be going to Imperial Valley College.
- The applicant’s major must be in the Field of Education.
- The applicant must be a graduating senior enrolled in an Imperial
Valley High School.
-Have a 3.0 or higher GPA
-Three letters of reference, Official transcript, and a Personal essay
Number of Scholarships offered: (2) scholarships of $500.00 each.
Deadline: Completed applications must be returned to school counselor by: April 25, 2025
PEO Chapter WU Scholarship 2025
This scholarship is open to senior girls who are applying to a junior college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree. The applicant must have at least a 3.5 GPA. Special consideration is given to a young woman who will be the first in her family to attend college. The amount is $500.
Please complete this application and include a current, unofficial transcript, one academic recommendation, and the required 1 page essay. Amberly Vasquez Scholarship 2025
Must be a 2025 BUHS Graduate with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. You must have participated in any Brawley Cheer League for at least 2 years. William D. Presley and Leon Brandt Memorial Scholarship
A program of Imperial Valley Masonic Lodge No. 390
Eligibility :
• Imperial Valley Masonic Lodge No. 390 will award one scholarship to qualified students with a current GPA of 3.25 (or higher) who enroll in and have been accepted to an accredited career technical school, community college, university, or a United States Military Academy.

Roger W. Price Scholarship A program of Imperial Valley Masonic Lodge No. 390
Eligibility :

SCAG Scholarship Program
Eligibility:
• Residency: Must be a resident within the SCAG region (i.e., Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, or Ventura counties, or on Tribal lands within the SCAG region) and be eligible to work in the United States.
• School Enrollment: Must be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in a two-year community college in the SCAG region. Graduating high school seniors must enroll in higher education (i.e., two- or four-year college or university) immediately following graduation from high school (i.e., no gap year).
• GPA Minimum: Candidates must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher (based on a 4.0, unweighted scale).
• Other requirements: Students may be asked to submit proof of eligibility to work in the United States if selected as a recipient. Successful recipients may be asked to provide a picture and quote to publicize SCAG’s Scholarship Program.

CSW Scholarship 2025
The Carmen Solarez Woolf Scholarships are available to BUHS and DVHS graduates planning to pursue on of the following fields of study: Nursing Program to become an RN or Legal Field to become a Legal Assistant or Paralegal. The deadline to submit an application and apply is March 19, 2025 to Ms. Castro in the counseling center. Imperial Valley PEO Reciprocity Scholarship
Eligibility: This scholarship will be awarded to Imperial Valley women attending high school who will be accepted to a four-year university/college or a community college/trade school.
Special consideration will be given to women studying any field of Agriculture, but will not be limited only to that field.
Number of Scholarships offered: Multiple scholarships awarded up to $1,000 each.

Brad Fowler Memorial Scholarship 2025
The San Diego Sports Association has opened the application window for the Brad Fowler Memorial Scholarship, a unique scholarship opportunity for students who have used athletics to help overcome challenges brought on by substance abuse (either personal use or within their family unit). I encourage you to share this letter with coaches, teachers and counselors who can open a door for students by encouraging them to apply. This is open to any student throughout San Diego County.
(It is not necessary for the applicant to have participated in sports all four years of high school. Sports can include baseball, track, football, soccer, basketball, etc., but also horseback riding, dance, cheer and the like.)
The Brad Fowler Memorial Scholarship offers a $7,500 scholarship to at least five high school seniors in San Diego County. A second scholarship of $7,500 can also be earned, provided the recipient remains in good academic standing following the first year of college, for a total possible scholarship award of $15,000. Additionally, scholarship recipients will receive a laptop computer from Computers 2 Kids San Diego.
Nomination Criteria:
High school senior who will enroll in either a two- or four-year college
Has overcome personal obstacles and troubles in life associated with drugs or alcohol
Demonstrated athletic achievement and participation in organized sports
Demonstrated leadership ability and demonstrated personal responsibility
Demonstrated academic growth
Demonstrated financial need
Has a strong commitment to setting and reaching life goals

2024-2025 ELKS Most Valuable Student Scholarship
The Elks National Foundation has opened their annual scholarship. They are allocating $2.52 million dollars to be given to 500 high school seniors across the United States. You will have to create an account and you can save and return to the application. You must work with your counselor in order to complete this application. The application is due November 12, 2024. P.E.O California State Chapter Scholarships
My name is Gretchen Simms and I am writing to you on behalf of P. E. O. Chapter GW. We are a women's organization whose focus is to raise money for scholarships for women. The P. E. O. organization is an international group with chapters in the United States and Canada. There are 6 chapters in Imperial Valley.
We would like to make you aware of the P. E. O. California State Chapter Scholarships that are available to you. The scholarships for the academic year 2025-2026 have recently been posted. The completed applications are due on or before January 15, 2025.
There are four different categories from which to apply:
1) Dorothy L Weller - pursuing a study in Law
2) Ethel O Gardener Scholarship - Janet H Griswold Memorial Scholarship - Dorothy Halleck Education Scholarship - pursuing a variety of academic fields including Education.
3) Ruth G White Scholarship Fund - Dorothy C. Wisner Scholarship - for women studying medicine.
4) Scholarship Selection Committee - these are 40 separate scholarships awarded to women studying in a variety of academic fields and from specific geographic locations. The Selection Committee will match you with the scholarship that aligns with your course of study.

26th Annual Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards
Applications for the 26th Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards are now available
We will celebrate and award students from the Class of 2025 with grants worth up to $4,000 to fund their higher education journey or fuel their community-based projects. We are looking for students who have made remarkable achievements in the classroom, made an impact in their communities, and demonstrated excellence across various educational categories.

Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale
Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2025-2026
