Supreme Court Justice: Thurgood Marshall was the first African American ever appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court. He was appointed by President Lyndon B. Johnson and served on the court.
Mae Carol Jemison (born October 17, 1956) is an American engineer, physician, and former NASA astronaut. She became the first African-American woman to travel into space when she served as a mission specialistaboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour in 1992. Jemison joined NASA's astronaut corps in 1987 and was selected to serve for the STS-47 mission, during which the Endeavourorbited the Earth for nearly eight days on September 12–20, 1992.

CAP AND GOWN
Cap and gowns will be ordered and Mr. Honnold (Balfour) plans to bring them to high school late March. They will be distributed from the ASB office.
There are a few who still need to purchase. We will have extras for sale when the gowns arrive. If you would like, you may contact Mr. Honnold below to reserve your size. I am still able to redeem PBIS Rewards and CAASPP money to cover gown costs. If you need help, email me or stop by the ASB office. dself@brawleyhigh.org

Grad Night Date: Grad Night will take place at Universal Studios on Friday, May 30th, 2025.
Grad Night Price:
The cost of attending Grad Night is $265.
CAASPP & Krispy Kreme Credit:
Seniors who have CAASPP credit can apply it to further reduce the cost of their ticket. If you are unsure of your credits, stop by Room 61 during tutorial and a class officer will be happy to check for you!
Final Payment Deadline:
The final deadline to pay for the Grad Night ticket is February 27, 2025.

Join the UNICEF Club to complete your service hours online and make a difference around the world! The UNICEF Club is focused on serving communities globally.
